About me

Helping others through listening and gentle guidance is my nature.

As a fully qualified as counsellor talking therapy can help with stress, anxiety, relationship problems, crisis, breakdown, domestic abuse, emotional abuse, infertility, low self confidence, loss of confidence, menopause symptoms or simply if life is overwhelming.

I offer three options for the counselling.

Face-to-face sessions:  I have a dedicated therapy room in Ingatestone with easy off street parking.

Phone sessions:  Giving even greater flexibility we can arrange a phone call

Walking therapy:  There are several lovely semi-rural walks nearby.  Many people find this an easier way to share and there is the theraputic benefits of fresh air and exercise

About you

Is counselling right for you?

Counselling can offer you the opportunity to say no more, and take a step towards positive change.

When we go through tough times we can often feel isolated, keeping everything inside our own heads.  Counselling provides the opportunity to let those thoughts and feelings out and to examine them in a safe, non-judgemental space – there will be nobody telling you to pull yourself together, grow up or get over it; everything you are feeling will be valued for what it is – a part of who you are that needs care and attention to help you work through it.

So often we try to bury what we are going through because we feel guilty, angry or ashamed of how we feel.  Ask yourself, what would it feel like to be able to be free from those feelings, to be truly heard and feel listened to – to be able to feel safe enough to share your deepest thoughts?  As your counsellor, my only job will be to support you no matter what problems you are facing.

How counselling has helped others

I would recommend Emma to anyone looking for a counsellor.  I found her very easy to talk to and she listened without judgement.  I have moved on from the negative thoughts that have held me back for so long.

Dear Emma,

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  For so long life was overwhelming, I thought menopause would never end and I would always be anxious and grumpy.  Talking through everything with you was like a key to unlock ‘happy me!”.

Emma has supported me through some really difficult, challenging times and with her help I have started to turn my life around.
